I can't believe that summer is gone, it feels like it was never here. Maybe that's just because I have been so busy with my shop, starting a craft fair, traveling and trying to make my house a home. Here is a quick update of what we have been up to this summer. In June I flew out to Atlanta to drive home with my bestie Jamie. It was 4 days full of fun, adventures and making the decision that I will not going go back to Kansas ever. EVER. I don't have any pictures but once I find them I will post them. For the 4th of July we went to Montana to visit with some wonderful friends that husband made while on Euro Train in high school.






 

    

We had so much fun and thank you to Jacqui and Russ for housing and feeding us! We love you guys!

It's been forever...

I know I am terrible at blogging but some big things have been going on. My shop has been really busy and a friend and I are in the process of starting a craft fair. I also finally finished our bedroom and got the bed all finished. Once I have a free minute I will post pictures of the room and also more info on the craft fair.

Finally!

I have finally finished some of my cake plates that are going to be a part of my Etsy shop and I couldn't be more excited. I have one more to finish and then its on to cloth napkins and table runners. Earlier this month I applied to be in Craft Sabbath, but unfortunately was too late and will have to wait until July to participate. I was bummed about not getting in but thats ok because I have time to build up my stock and also get my Etsy shop up and going. Here are the cake plates that I have finished so far and that are now getting their pictures done by our good friend Justin Applegate!! Thank you so much Justin, we love you!!

Every cake plate will be in 7 different colors so I need to kick it into gear so I can finish everything before July 11.

Projects.

Here is a glimpse of what I am working on to get ready for Craft Sabbath next month. I have about 8 different types of things I want to sell, and need to get at least one of everything done by this weekend so I can submit my application. So far 2 projects are finished and hopefully I can get a couple more done during the evenings this week.

Mum's Day.

And with her, my lovely mum! I love her so much, she is one of my best friends and I don't know what I would do without her.

I went home to Washington this weekend to surprise my mum (my dad and little brother gave it away) for Mother's Day and the weekend was perfect. I spent tons of time with the family and even got 20 cake plates and 5 recipe boxes cut out!! This project would have taken me days at home in Utah but only a few short hours in my dads shop with his super awesome tools. I think I'm going to have to make this a monthly adventure. Maybe I will bring husband with me next time so I will have another empty suitcase to bring stuff back in.
