Hello.

My name is Danielle and I have a problem, I collect outrageous amounts of dishes. Tea cups, plates, platters, tea pots, pitchers, glasses, you name it and I probably have 5....or 16.

Any extra space in my kitchen is occupied by some type of dish, it's getting a little out of control.

I have these dreams of big dinner parties and summer bbq's and therefore I need 16 of everything. 16 salad plates, 16 glasses, 16 bowls, 16 plates and some of these I have a set of 16 for every month.

Are you sensing a theme yet?

16 is the magic number in my brain (I have no idea where this came from) and if I lose one piece I will give the entire set away.

In future house I will have an entire area of the basement dedicated to my dish collection. It's going to be the beautiful.

This is only a small part of my collection. I am currently working on getting it all organized, which means the shuffling of all storage. Yeah it's going to take awhile.

Wreath.

I began decorating my front porch for Christmas on Thanksgiving night. The next morning I woke up and realized I didn't have a wreath and the failed wreath experiment from last year was in pieces in the basement. I thought about trying to fix it and use it for this yes but then I went and looked at it, and to the trash it went. Feeling defeated about a failed crafty project I called my mother for some wreath advice and that's how my new wreath came about. It took total maybe and hour to make and I think it's super cute and exactly what I was looking for. Below are the instructions on how to make it.

Please ignore the icky white door, instead pretend it's the pretty apple red it will become in spring
1. Find some logs at the width you want, mine were around 4-5" in diameter.

2. Cut them into 1-2" pieces.

3. Once you have them all cut lay them out in a circle about 2" apart. Once those are laid out lay out the second layer out on top of them. I used a scrap piece of wood to use a gauge how big I wanted my wreath to be.  Adjust as necessary and make sure you have enough pieces.

4.  Once you have the shape you like start gluing. I used hot glue and wood glue, hot glue because I'm impatient and wood glue because I want it to last. When it's dry turn it over and pound two nails into the back. After you pound the nails in take some wire or string and wrap between the two nails.

3. After you are done gluing time to add the pretties. I used real pine branches, fake berries, alder cones and some ribbon I had around the house.

And you're all done! It's so quick and easy the perfect holiday project!

Twinkle Lights.

I LOVE Christmas lights!!

And by love I mean I would keep them up year round if I could, and put them everywhere. everywhere.

Well tonight I might just have put them all over my shop and I can't wait to do the house and yard next!

Busy Bee.

This week has been super busy. I don't know where my time has gone. I have so many orders (I'm not complaining I am over the moon about this) but sometimes I get overwhelmed.

This is only two of the 70 stacks that are in my shop of orders waiting to be assembled.

I decided that I needed a break so I headed out to TJ Maxx and now I really really can't wait until I build this and put my new extra adorable flamingo salt and pepper shakers on it.

Sorry about the iPhone pictures I still haven't decided what kind of camera I want to buy, but I promise I'm getting there.

BIG shop news is coming soon and I'm so so excited to share it. I finally feel like my little dream is coming
true and I'm pretty much on cloud 9.

Hello to all of my new followers and I hope we can be friends!

Have a lovely evening.

Much Love.

In Bloom.

Spring made an appearance today. It was an absolutely lovely day, so my favorite puppy and
I took a walk around the neighborhood.

The pear and cherries trees are starting to bloom and I LOVE the view of the mountains that we have.

P.S. This music is magical.

Morning.

My home is a GIANT mess. I'm 92% sure I haven't done laundry in about 2 weeks and I can't see my dining room table. But that's ok because I woke up to sunshine, random flowers in the garden, and the sweet smell of spring, it's going to be a magical day!

This awesome guy sits on our front porch with all of my pretty pots.

Pinecones.

Over the holiday weekend I began making the wreath for the front door. I'm not 100% done but I will share what I have done so far and I think you will get the idea.

I plan on adding more berries and also some alder cones that my lovely mum sent me last year. Had I thought this project all the way through I would have painted the wreath brown first. I still love it and think it will look fabulous with our evergreen covered front porch.

Much Love

Buttons.

I miss this lady and I wish we lived closer so that we could sit at our table and watch the people pass by.

I had a lovely Thanksgiving and long weekend. Husband and I watched all 6 Harry Potters and were planning on seeing the new one, until football and tattoos got in our way....maybe next weekend (sigh). This past weekend was extra productive, I finished my new wreath for the front door (I will share pictures tonight), made serious progress on new cake plate designs and even had all of my household chores done by Saturday. I'm getting more and more excited for the holiday season and my shop reopening but there is still so much to do! AHH! On Saturday a girl from church (who I would love love love to open a shop with one day) will be decorating the church building and I can't wait to share pictures. There will be evergreen branches, pine cones, birdies and lets not forget silver glitter. I'm really excited to see it all come together because I have been giddy with excitement since we started planning.

Table + Chairs

I bought this table. It will soon be white.

Now I need chairs and can't decide on which style I should make. Or maybe just give in and buy some for the time being.
